Safety Precautions
There are several uncommon situations involving the celloGard that must be discussed, even if they seem obvious or just common sense.
1.   Using a celloGard and following the usage instructions can greatly reduce the chance of having your cello knocked over and damaged when it is resting on its side on the floor. However, using a celloGard cannot guarantee against possible damage or loss, so please be careful!
2.   The celloGard is designed to accommodate standard, full-sized cellos up to 5 inches wide, when measured across the side (the rib) of the upper bout. Cellos wider than this are very uncommon. But if you have such an instrument, you should test the celloGard carefully before using it to avoid damage to you cello, the celloGard, or both. However, we DO NOT recommend using the celloGard with instruments wider than 5 inches, so proceed at your own risk.
3.   The celloGard is normally placed on the floor where it might be tripped over if someone isn’t paying attention and fails to see it. We recommend using the brightest colored sleeves to increase its visibility on dark floors, carpets or any place where it might create a tripping hazard.

4.  Cellos normally exhibit some wear on their edges from being placed on their sides on the floor.  Using the celloGard may reduce, alter, but not entirely eliminate, such wear.  This level of wear is considered to be routine, minor and easily retouched by a competent luthier during regular maintenance.
5.   The sleeves may be hand-washed in cold water with mild detergent. Air dry. Never use heat, machines or chemicals to clean them.
6.   All celloGard products are warranted against manufacturing defects for 1 year from the date of purchase.
