The celloGard Model One was invented by Bob Ng - a Berkeley, California cellist - who spent more than 2 years building over 100 prototypes, while testing a wide variety of materials, shapes, dimensions and mechanisms, before finally settling on its final design.
Fred Goodman, a senior product designer and mechanical engineer, then used state-of-the-art solid modelling technology and a lifetime of product development experience to refine the design and adapt it to modern industrial materials and manufacturing techniques.
Our second product, the celloGard Foldable is a significantly more complex assembly that was developed using the latest, 3D printing technologies.  It also involved hundreds of design iterations and took an additional 18 months of engineering development.

Both products offer a simple, attractive and highly-effective solution to an age-old problem faced by all cellists.
U.S. Trademark U.S. Patent Listing
